OUR STORY
The name Mix It Up comes from our family's motto. We like to mix things up...from our food, our thoughts and our lives. We ride change and make memories, thats what we stand for.
We are a couple in our mid 30's with a toddler son. In 2014 we decided that in order to teach our child the big life lesson that he can be and do whatever he wants, that we need to show him that his parents can do it to. So we sold everything we owned and moved abroad for the winter. We regrouped, reconnected and reestabilished what is truly important for our unique family. And that was to spend as much time together learning, loving and experiencing amazing new things. So this is how we mixed it up. Our life got a little too cookie cutter, a little too scheduled, so we mixed it up and let everything go and took off for a winter family adventure.
That adventure brought with it amazing new people, new experiences and opened our minds to new ways of living in this world. We realized that our little corner of crazy could work, and we could find ways of making a living and making a life all at the same time. We came back to our home land (Canada) and continued the farmers markets and festivals that we had been attending for years, but with a new twist. Our juice bar, healthy snack booth transformed and turned into a booth where we shared interesting and cool products we found and feel in love with abroad. And here it was....our mixed up family, sharing our mixed up products and bringing to our customers the hope that your really can create the life you want...you just have to figure out what that life would look like and then trust that the universe will bring to you the situations that would help bring that life into being.
So here it is, our little corner of crazy on the internet. Since our family is now self described Nomads. The world is our home and I can't be sure where we will be on any given month.
